Job Description
A unique opportunity to work in a dynamic team-oriented environment that requires building strong working relationships with front office, back office, technology, finance, legal, and compliance areas as well as external clients!
As an Associate within the APAC Securitized Products Middle Office, you will be performing a hybrid role that encompasses portfolio management and middle office functions to support a region that includes, but is not limited to Hong Kong, China, India, Korea and Australia. You will involve being pro-active in identifying, escalating, and assisting in the resolution of any operational issues that may arise in support of the business. You will also take ownership of constant enhancements in processes (whether through iterative improvements / efficiency gains, or large-scale technology roll-outs).
Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform collateral surveillance and analysis
  • Monitor compliance with legal structures
  • Liaise between Origination and Credit to ensure proper management of exposure
  • Manage 'Know Your Customer' processes
  • Coordinate booking in securities and loan systems as well as supporting lifecycle events
  • Coordinate third-party vendor invoicing and billing
  • Coordinate sales credit submissions
  • Collaborate on project/change management and act as a technology project requirement liaison


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or relevant disciplines
  • At least 3 years of experience with proven analytical skills within the Banking industry
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure, prioritizing duties accordingly
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to partner with stakeholders spanning front office, operations, technology, legal, and compliance, both internal and external, and across the globe
  • Team player, professional and proactive approach to work, positive attitude, remain poised under pressure, client service focus and ability to adapt to change
  • Demonstrate the ability to identify issues and escalate timely while understanding potential risks and looking to mitigate control gaps where necessary
  • Knowledge of loan agreements and related legal documentation
  • Demonstrate a keen eye for details; look for and mitigate inherent and residual risks
  • Comfort with learning new technology is a must as this is always developing and evolving in our business
  • Extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Strong preference for candidate with experience in portfolio management or in an operations role.
  • Experience with securitization and highly structured deals
  • Experience with loan booking systems (such as LoanIQ).
  • Experience with credit analysis.
  • Experience with intelligent automation tools such as Alteryx or UiPath
  • Fluency in Chinese - including strong reading, writing, speaking and comprehension skills
