Get to Know the Team

GrabRentals (GR) is a core pillar of Grab’s Mobility business, with the primary objective of securing vehicular and productive driver-partner supply for Grab’s ridehailing marketplace.

The GR team houses its own strategy, partner productivity, pricing & product design, sales, marketing, operations et al. functions, and also works very closely with other teams in Grab spanning business, operations, tech, and analytics.This role will be part of the GrabRentals PHV Business team and responsible for planning and leading strategic projects.

Get to Know the Role 

  1. Lead strategic planning and studies for high impact strategic topics (50%)
  2. Lead execution of high impact initiatives (40%)
  3. Occasionally support strategic partnership discussions with external partners, which could include some due diligence work (<10%)

This role will be based onsite at our One North Office, reporting directly to the Head of GrabRentals PHV Business team.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

  1. Lead strategic planning and studies for top-of-agenda strategic topics (50%)
    • Ensure a well-coordinated business strategy 
    • Drive analysis and planning of high impact strategic topics e.g. providing a fact base, problem identification, structured problem solving, advising on implementation
    • Deliver valuable business insights and recommendations to act upon (e.g. landscape and competitor analyses, customer segmentation, asset optimisation, product pricing and spend optimisation etc)
  2. Lead execution of high impact initiatives (40%)
    • Lead project management from initiation to closure 
    • Work with stakeholders to clearly define objectives, success criteria, scope, deliverables, required resources etc
  3. Be a sounding board for and support executive communications to senior management and other key stakeholders

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

The must haves:

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in a strategy, business analysis or similar-type role 
  • Demonstrated ability in strategic thinking and structured problem solving
  • Experience with hands-on engagement, strong interpersonal / influencing skills
  • Solid spoken and written communication skills including executive level communication / slides
  • Able to work independently and in teams
  • Highly adaptable across situations / topics / industries
