THE ROLE
SailPoint is seeking a high-caliber, technical Agentic Technologist (Pre-Sales) to join our newly formed Agentic Technologists team. Reporting to the Senior Director, you will be the primary technical resource responsible for proving the value of SailPoint’s AI Agent and Machine Security offerings to SailPoint’s customers and prospects. You aren't just selling a solution; you are helping to define a new market.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
· Collaborate to help iterate "Agentic Story": Collaborate with likeminded individuals to help build world-class technical assets that showcase how SailPoint provides organizations the confidence they need to securely deploy agents.
· Technical Sales Motion: Own the technical win for AI-focused engagements. This includes discovery through proof step.
· Field Evangelism: Act as a subject matter expert and thought leader. You will present at industry events, lead technical workshops, and enable the broader global sales engineering team on how to talk about and demonstrate the "Agentic" story.
· Feedback Loop: Partner closely with Product Management and the Senior Director to provide "feet on the ground" feedback from POCs. You will help influence the product roadmap by identifying the real-world identity challenges customers face when deploying Agentic AI.
· Solution Design: Work with customers to develop the right architecture to meet business goals in a secure way.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
· Hands-on Agentic AI Proficiency: Technical experience with Agentic AI frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or AutoGPT. You must be comfortable building or configuring agents that interact with MCPs, other agents, and enterprise data.
· Cloud AI Platforms: Experience working with platforms like AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, or Azure Foundry.
· Identity & Access Management (IAM) Foundations: Strong understanding of IGA/IAM principles, including JIT access, least privilege, and lifecycle management.
· Non-Human Identity Expertise: Familiarity with securing service accounts, API keys, and machine identities (e.g., SPIFFE/SPIRE, workload identity).
· Development/Scripting Skills: Some proficiency in Python (highly preferred for AI/ML work) and/or Java/JavaScript to build custom demo integrations and automation scripts for POCs.
· Strategic Communication: The ability to explain "the why" to a CISO and CDO, while also being able to explain "the how" to a Lead Architect.
.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
· 5+ years of experience in Pre-Sales Engineering or Solution Architecture.
· A proven track record of managing complex, high-stakes technical validations/POCs.
