Position Overview
Join Tencent's International Accounting Hub as an Accounting Manager, where you will play a crucial role in financial reporting, compliance, and process optimization across global markets. Reporting directly to the Head of Department, you'll oversee a range of critical functions, including journal entry preparation, general ledger management, and financial control. - Oversee IFRS and local GAAP accounting adjustments, journal entry preparation, and key general ledger (GL) activities, ensuring accurate and timely month-end and year-end closings.
- Manage financial controls for master data and general ledgers, including balance sheet reconciliations, financial analysis, and variance investigations.
- Prepare and review financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, best practices, and local regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with auditors and internal teams to complete local statutory reporting and support board meetings for financial approvals.
- Provide technical accounting advisory on complex transactions, including new/amended accounting standards, acquisitions, and capital/debt financing.
- Identify and implement system and process improvements, focusing on automation, efficiency, and financial digitalization across multiple regions.
- Lead financial systems projects, including Business Intelligence (BI), Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), and ERP system enhancements.
Who We Look For
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or related fields; CA or CPA qualification required.
- 5+ years of accounting experience in MNCs or at a managerial level with professional audit firms, with strong expertise in IFRS and financial disclosures.
- Excellent proficiency in both English and Chinese Mandarin to effectively prepare, analyze, and communicate financial reports and memos.
- Strong experience with Oracle, Hyperion, or similar general ledger systems and a proven track record in implementing financial process improvements.
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage strict deadlines, ensuring high-quality financial reporting.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with a proactive mindset for problem-solving and process optimization.
- High level of integrity, self-motivation, and adaptability, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
