Accounting Intern

Location: Boon Lay, Singapore (On-site)

Job Type: Full-Time Internship

Duration: 6 Months

Start Date: 11 August 2026 onwards

Compensation: SGD 1,000 per month

Shipping World Logistics Pte Ltd is a Singapore-based logistics company providing freight forwarding, transportation, warehousing, and supply chain solutions across the region.

Position Overview

We are seeking an Accounting Intern to support our Finance and Accounts team. This internship offers practical exposure to accounting processes, financial reporting, billing operations, and business administration within the logistics industry.

Training and guidance will be provided throughout the internship.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts and Finance Support

• Assist with customer invoicing and billing activities

• Support accounts receivable and accounts payable processes

• Prepare and process invoices and supporting documents

• Verify invoice accuracy and maintain proper records

• Maintain financial documentation and filing systems

Management Reporting Support

• Assist in preparing management reports and financial summaries

• Support the compilation and validation of financial and operational data

• Assist with budget tracking and expense monitoring

• Support reporting and data analysis activities using Microsoft Excel

System Operations

• Learn and use the company's freight management system, Fr8Labs

• Update billing records, supplier costs, and payment information

• Verify operational data against billing records

• Maintain data accuracy within the system

Administrative Support

• Coordinate with Finance and Operations teams on documentation matters

• Follow up on missing supporting documents when required

• Assist with month-end closing and reconciliation activities

• Support ad-hoc administrative duties assigned by the team

Requirements

• Polytechnic or University student pursuing Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field of study

• Willingness to learn and work in a team environment

• Able to commit to a full-time internship for six months

• Eligible to work in Singapore
