Accounting and finance intern supporting sales operations through billing and payment controls, sales and billing performance analysis, month-end accrual validation, inventory management, and general administration. The role provides exposure to order-to-cash and procure-to-pay processes, revenue recognition, SAP, and invoice collection while coordinating with account managers and shared services teams.
We are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic and energetic individual to join our team to perform finance and administrative role in sales support.
The role sits within the downstream division that provides solutions to the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical industry. This is a role that supports the Sales Operations and Sales Account Managers in anchoring all aspects of sales support and general administration.
Key components of the role:
- Billing and payment controls and administration
- Analysis of sales and billing performance
- Validating month end financial accruals
- Some general admin support
Learning outcomes:
- Understand the order to cash process, procure to pay process
- Application of accounting concepts like revenue recognition
- Communication and engagement skills, working with Account Managers and our shared services team to resolve billing or invoice collection problems.
- Understand SAP system and other associated portals
- Inventory management
You would be best equipped for the role if you are (profile):
- Undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting or Business Administration, with a major in Finance
- Ability to work independently, as well as to collaborate in a team
- Approachable and demonstrates willingness to support
- Clear communication skills (verbal and written) and able to manage interfaces with other departments.
- Organized, detail oriented, and has analytical abilities
- Process oriented, adaptable, reliable and flexible
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
