The Accountant will manage daily financial operations, handle bank reconciliations, support the payment cycle, ensure compliance with accounting standards, prepare financial reports, assist with GST filing, and support statutory audits. The role involves meticulous record-keeping and collaboration with management and headquarters on financial matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Perform bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
- Support the weekly payment cycle, including staff claims, driver payouts, and invoice settlements.
- Ensure strict compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Perform month end closing, maintain a comprehensive set of accounting records and liaise with HQ on financial queries.
- Prepare and ensure timely submission of daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports to management and HQ.
- Assist with Goods and Services Tax (GST) filing and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Support statutory audits by preparing necessary schedules and responding to audit queries.
- Performs checking and reconciliations for delivery projects.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by management.
Key Requisites
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience and possession of relevant accountancy qualifications or certifications, such as ACCA, Diploma in Accountancy, or LCCI.
- Experience in managing a full set of accounts is highly advantageous.
- Understanding of Singapore tax regulations and accounting standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software, preferably Oracle.
- Previous experience in startups or e-commerce platforms is an added advantage.
