About OpenTable

With millions of diners, 70,000+ restaurant partners and 25+ years of experience, OpenTable, part of Booking Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: BKNG), is an industry leader with a passion for helping restaurants thrive. Our world-class technology empowers restaurants to focus on what matters most – their team, their guests, and their bottom line – while enabling diners to discover and book the perfect restaurant for every occasion.

Every employee at OpenTable has a tangible impact on what we do and how we do it. You’ll also be part of a global team and its portfolio of metasearch brands. Hospitality is all about taking care of others, and it defines our culture.

The Position

We are seeking an Account Manager who will be responsible for leading customer retention and revenue growth within your territory of restaurants. This position will report to the District Manager.

You will be in tune with the local restaurant industry and will proactively engage with our restaurant customers. You will be innovative in overcoming customer obstacles, and provide constructive perspectives to challenge current thinking. The successful candidate will be positive and encouraging by nature, resilient under pressure, and regularly sought after for insight, input, and collaboration.

In This Role, You Will

  • Work closely with customers to increase product and feature adoption, improve their online availability and ultimately grow their business through our partnership.

  • Become a trusted adviser to our customers and influencing an ongoing retention of their business with us.

  • Maintain an experienced level of understanding of all products and services that OpenTable offers.

  • Proactively incorporate company strategies into your work and constantly be on the lookout for opportunities to increase your impact with customers.

  • Share and implement standard methodologies with members of the sales and restaurant relations team.

  • Be highly visible and frequently face-to-face with our customers in the field.

  • Stay current with organisational changes, initiatives, and vision.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and key internal stakeholders.

Please Apply If

  • You are passionate about hospitality and technology. Restaurant management and/or sales experience in the food and beverage industry is preferred but not essential.

  • You are curious, humble and have an eagerness to learn.

  • You are able to effectively influence and use data to guide your decisions.

  • You’re self-motivated and have the grit necessary to thrive against ambitious expectations.

  • You naturally communicate well, and can establish trust with people genuinely and quickly.

  • You are comfortable working in an unstructured and forward-thinking environment.

  • You are an empathetic, team-orientated sales person who loves to collaborate and grow through learning and feedback.

  • You are proficient in use of Google Suite and Salesforce CRM.

Benefits

  • Work from (almost) anywhere now, hybrid in the near future.

  • Mental Health Well-being: 6 company paid therapy sessions, subscription to a meditation app, wellbeing speaker series and resources.

  • 1 floating day off per year to celebrate your birthday or another occasion of your choice!

  • Company-wide week off each year: the whole team recharges (and returns without a pile-up of work!).

  • Ongoing Learning and Development opportunities.

  • Universal Paid Parental leave.

Work Environment & Flexibility

At OpenTable, we pride ourselves on fostering a global and dynamic work environment. As a team member with us, you will benefit from a schedule tailored to accommodate a global workforce operating across multiple time zones. While the majority of your responsibilities may align with conventional business hours, there will be instances where you are expected to manage communications - via calls, Slack messages, or emails - outside of regular working hours to effectively collaborate with international colleagues, respond to restaurant partners, and/or address urgent matters. OpenTable will always abide by and consider local laws and regulations.

Inclusion

We’re committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels they belong and can thrive. We know the best ideas come when we bring different voices to the table, so we're building a team as dynamic as the diners and restaurants we serve—and fostering a culture where everyone feels welcome to be themselves.

If you need accommodations during the application or interview process, or on the job, we’re here to support you. Please reach out to your recruiter to request any accommodations.
