Job Requirements

  • Preferred qualifications include recognized certifications such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP), Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC), or related HR certifications like SHRM-CP or PHR.
  • Own and manage a pipeline of upsell opportunities across a portfolio of US-based US Payroll Buyer Personas customers
  • Build and execute a repeatable expansion playbook - from outreach to deal close - focused solely on US payroll + Ben Admin
  • Conduct value-based discovery sessions with HR, Finance, and Operations decision-maker
  • Collaborate closely with Customer Success, Product, and Solutions teams to align product capabilities to client needs
  • Clearly articulate ROI and business case for migrating to HiBob Payroll versus incumbent solutions or bureaus
  • Maintain accurate pipeline tracking and forecasting in Salesforce and utilising the sales framework MEDDPICC to run deal analysis and identify risk
  • Achieve and exceed quarterly upsell quota
  • Experience of SaaS Account Management or Sales experience, with a proven track record in upselling or expansion
  • Experience selling payroll software, services, or regulated HR tech in the US market strongly preferred
  • Deep understanding of US US Payroll buyer personas (particularly HR, payroll and Finance functions)
  • Ability to lead commercial conversations that involve compliance, operational complexity, or integration requirements
  • Experience managing and forecasting a revenue-generating pipeline using Salesforce
  • Familiarity with modern tools like Slack, Intercom, Zendesk, and Airtable is a plus
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, change-heavy environment - ideally with startup or scale-up experience

Job Responsibilities
The Account Manager - Payroll + Ben Admin is responsible for driving net new revenue through expansion within HiBob's existing US customer base, specifically focusing on our new Payroll + Ben Admin products tailored for small and mid-sized businesses. This role is 100% upsell-focused, you'll work with current HiBob clients to identify payroll needs, position our US payroll offering as the ideal solution, and guide them through the expansion journey.
This is a high-impact role where you'll empower customers to unlock the full potential of HiBob by bringing payroll into their ecosystem; streamlining operations, eliminating silos, and delivering a truly unified people platform experience.

  • Drive upsell revenue for the US Payroll + Ben Admin products by identifying qualified opportunities within the existing US Payroll Buyer Personas client base.
  • Be proactive with building and maintain a strong pipeline, aligning it to the MEDDPIC methodology.
  • Run tailored discovery, pitch, and expansion cycles to showcase the value of consolidating payroll with HiBob.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships that accelerate decision-making and drive expansion adoption.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless handoffs, contribute to competitive insights, and maintain a high-quality customer experience throughout the upsell process.

Base salaries for this role range from $85,000 - $115,000 per year. Additionally this role has a variable compensation component.

When making individual pay rate decisions, we take into account the candidates' depth of experience, their qualifications relative to incumbent employees, and their location-among other factors.
