How you’ll make an impact


As a Partner Success Account Manager you will be working with our Partners who have a majority of their clients on Xero. You would be responsible for accelerating the growth of Xero Partners by increasing revenue from existing customers. More specifically, the Partner Success Account Manager role will enable sustainable growth, retention, support and development of some of our most established Xero Partners.


This will include challenging the thinking of Xero Partners while helping them understand the value of the Xero Ecosystem and how to successfully embed and use the Xero Practice Tools, where applicable. You will be responsible for facilitating growth through education, strategy and guidance. 


You'll be a key point of contact for your partners, acting as their advocate within Xero. You'll collaborate closely with our product and go-to-market teams to ensure partner feedback is shared and considered and that we are providing the resources necessary for our partners to succeed. This includes sharing partner insights, contributing to product development discussions, and ensuring partners are aware of relevant updates and resources.





What you’ll do

  • Work with a selection of established accounting and bookkeeping firms to strategize ways to increase their revenue and promote growth.
  • Build a territory plan with the Territory Manager to increase revenue through Xero plan upgrades, increasing the mix of Business Edition plans, and grow the attach rate of connected payment services.
  • Work closely with other in-team and cross functional team members to deliver an amazing service. 
  • Plan and run 1:Many client and Partner events designed to accelerate growth of revenue and new customers.
  • Become a trusted advisor to our existing Partners, build strong rapport with Partners.
  • Relationship management of existing accounting Partners.
  • Creating, Presenting and Attending Xero Partner events
  • Educate partners through the mechanics and benefits of the Xero Partner program.
  • Ensure these Partners receive timely Product and Educational updates.
  • Combat churn and risk of deletion through education and value proposition.
  • Ensure Partners and staff attend webinars and events & certification training.
  • Educate Partners on all Partner resources available and remain certified.
  • Collate feedback from Partners on feature requests and relay through the appropriate channels.
  • Influence adoption of Xero’s adjacent products
  • Early detection and mitigation of deletion risks
  • Driving online strategy deep within the practice, and increasing the number of active users within each firm
  • Identify any gaps in knowledge, strategy or buy-in within a firm, you’ll work to close these gaps and ensure the Partner is aware of the resources available to them
  • Working closely with the Partner Consulting team to deliver individual and territory goals.
  • Liaise/present with key add-ons to Partners.
  • Develop customer programs, processes and best practices including a deployment blueprint and tips for using the product.

What you’ll bring with you

  • Experience with managing long term client relationships
  • Knowledge of the workings of an accounting practice system is essential.
  • Demonstrated success in a client-facing role, such as consulting, account management, or business development, preferably within the B2B SaaS or financial services sector.
  • An interest and intrigue in the emerging online accounting market.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills and an enthusiasm for building strong relationships, including strong public speaking skills.
  • Ability to create a quick and strong rapport with Partners.
