Role Summary

As an Account Director (AD) focused on eSports for the APAC region, you will support our Global eSports team as the primary representative and liaison for all APAC clients. In this pivotal role, you will shape Octagon's presence in the APAC eSports market, driving innovation and expansion opportunities that position our agency as an industry leader. You will act as the regional eSports expert, lead and execute projects across APAC, foster new business growth, and serve as the main point of contact for all APAC client stakeholders.

This role requires exceptional client servicing capability, strategic thinking, organizational precision, outstanding project management, and excellent communication skills. We are seeking a passionate individual with a dynamic approach, curiosity for growth, and a drive to challenge and improve processes to help us expand our footprint in the eSports and Gaming industry.


Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary client contact and subject matter expert for all eSports initiatives across the Asia Pacific region, collaborating closely with Octagon account leads in APAC and globally.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of clients’ global and local market needs and objectives to inform tailored strategies and solutions.
  • Lead the planning, development, and execution of integrated campaigns and activation projects utilizing the client's eSports sponsorship portfolio, ensuring excellence in delivery and measurable results.
  • Oversee creative approvals, ticket allocation, and asset management between clients and rights-holders, maintaining seamless coordination and communication.
  • Develop, manage, and execute on-site activations and branded experiences at key events ensuring brand objectives are met and client expectations exceeded.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, vendors, and properties to facilitate effective collaboration and successful project outcomes.
  • Prepare insightful written points of view on relevant sponsorship and partnership opportunities, and lead the development of strategy and proactive ideation for clients.
  • Direct all aspects of client and project management, including organizing status calls, creating agendas, tracking deliverables, and producing concise recaps and reports.
  • Analyze data and research to generate impactful reports, best practice studies, and actionable recommendations for clients.
  • Identify and explore new business opportunities within the eSports and Gaming industry, contributing to Octagon’s growth and leadership in the market.
  • Support additional projects as assigned, such as other events, hospitality programs, sponsorship evaluations, competitive reviews, white papers, and property research.

Skills & Experience
  • 6–10 years of agency or client servicing experience, ideally in sponsorship and partnerships
  • Deep knowledge and practical experience in the eSports & Gaming industry
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, global environment across time zones, including periodic calls and meetings with the USA
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively and diplomatically with diverse personalities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
  • Valuable experience in event management, sponsorship activations, or branded experiences
  • Additional language proficiency (especially Asian/Mandarin languages) is an advantage
