Role Overview

We are seeking an entrepreneurial accelerator manager to join our team in Singapore. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing the accelerator end-to-end, including designing and running the program and providing direct support to the accelerator companies. The ideal candidate will work closely with the investment team to ensure the program is tailored to the needs of each selected company and delivers meaningful strategic, commercial, and fundraising outcomes.

Job Responsibilities1. Accelerator Design
  • Design and structure the accelerator program, including identifying the right mentors and sessions based on the cohort companies.

  • Onboard high-caliber mentors who will be supporting accelerator companies.

  • Curate program content, workshops, and mentorship sessions to maximize value for participating companies.

2. Accelerator Execution
  • Run accelerator program week on week, including facilitating sessions, ensuring speakers are properly briefed, and companies are in attendance and material distribution.

  • Build the community of engagement startups to exchange experience, contacts, etc.

  • Conduct ongoing program evaluation, gathering feedback from participants and stakeholders to assess impact, identify areas of improvement, and enhance overall program effectiveness

  • Work closely with accelerator companies, defining their objectives and strategy, becoming their thought partner, and ensuring they have the right level of support and mentorship

  • Organize and run in-person sessions, including Welcome Week and Investor Day, ensuring ecosystem partners and investors are in attendance. Companies can access funding, partnerships, and commercial opportunities through the accelerator network.

3. Post-Accelerator Management
  • Create an ecosystem of Asia Ocean Fund companies that goes beyond the accelerator, by facilitating a community, resources, and ongoing engagement to support continued growth and collaboration.

Job Requirements
  • At least 6 years of experience, of which 2-3 should ideally be in the Venture Capital or start-up space. Operating experience in a start-up is a strong advantage.

  • Proven experience managing accelerator or incubator programs, including design and execution

  • Track record in the sectors of ocean technology, maritime, sustainability, or climate and energy is preferred.

  • Experience working in different geographies across Asia, preferably both in developed and emerging markets.

  • Passion for the ocean or environment, interest in impact investing to generate social and environmental outcomes.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present and engage varied audiences and build relationships easily.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate and manage multiple parallel workstreams.

  • Strong academic background from reputable institutions. A professional qualification, such as MBA, would be highly regarded.
