General description

Global Products & Solutions (GPS) drives client-centric investment strategies, innovates across financial products, and delivers expert advisory spanning all major asset classes. The GPS Platform & Services team is pivotal in advancing the global platform infrastructure to support scalable, efficient, and resilient operations.

As part of the GPS Platform Transformation initiative, we are enhancing our Execution Management Systems (EMS) to power next-generation trading capabilities, improve execution quality, and strengthen global operational coherence. This transformation emphasizes technological excellence, seamless integration, and robust platform performance.

We are looking for an accomplished Business Analyst with deep expertise in Execution Management Systems and wealth management trading workflows. You will act as a critical link between business stakeholders and technology teams, translating strategic product direction into executable requirements and driving successful platform change.

This role reports to the Head of Execution Platform and is based in Singapore.

Key features of the position

Business Analysis & Platform Evolution

  • Collaborate with global stakeholders to elicit, analyse, and document business requirements for EMS enhancements and platform transitions, ensuring alignment with overarching product and regulatory strategies.

  • Develop comprehensive business specifications, including epics, initiatives, objectives, and key results in partnership with Product Managers and Product Owners.

  • Conduct thorough gap analyses by building a strong understanding of current EMS functionalities and execution flows, comparing them against future-state platform capabilities.

  • Translate product strategy into actionable deliverables such as user stories, process diagrams, acceptance criteria, and traceable requirements documentation.

  • Lead coordination efforts in implementing the new Global EMS platform, working closely with external vendors, IT teams, and control functions to ensure timely and compliant delivery.

Trading & System Expertise

  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of order routing, order execution, and full trade lifecycle events within electronic trading environments.

  • Leverage expertise in pre-trade compliance mechanisms—including suitability assessments, credit checks, and risk controls—to shape system requirements.

  • Possess strong familiarity with financial instruments such as Equities, Exchange-Traded Derivatives (ETDs), Bonds, Funds, and Structured Products, particularly within wealth management contexts.

  • Drive integration initiatives using modern APIs and protocols, including FIX, for broker/market connectivity and real-time execution workflows.

  • Advise on scalable integration patterns and contribute to the design of reliable, high-performance interfaces between internal systems and external partners

Regulatory responsibilities &/or risk management

  • Ensure all deliverables meet legal, regulatory, and internal compliance standards, particularly those impacting trade reporting, conduct risk, and client protection.

  • Uphold principles of integrity, transparency, and due diligence; proactively escalate potential risks or control gaps.

  • Comply fully with firmwide policies, procedures, and ethical standards, demonstrating accountability in high-pressure, fast-evolving project environments.

YOUR PROFILE

Personal & social

  • Exceptional communication and facilitation skills—able to engage senior stakeholders, technical teams, and regulators with clarity and precision.

  • Skilled at influencing without direct authority, navigating matrixed organizations, and building consensus across diverse groups.

  • Resilient under pressure, capable of managing shifting priorities and ambiguity while maintaining focus on delivery excellence.

  • Experienced in Agile methodologies, actively contributing to sprints, backlog refinement, and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to collective success and continuous learning.

Professional & technical

  • Minimum 7 years of business analysis experience, preferably within investment banking or capital markets, with proven exposure to trading systems.

  • In-depth understanding of Execution Management Systems (EMS), front-to-back trading workflows, and wealth management operating models.

  • Hands-on experience with API-driven integrations (REST, HTTPS, FIX) and system interoperability in low-latency environments.

  • Strong analytical abilities with a track record of solving complex business problems through structured thinking and data-informed insight.

  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks affecting trading and execution (e.g., MiFID II, best execution obligations) is highly desirable.
