English insurance broker Willis, a WTW business, announced new leadership appointments across Asia, naming Nicki Tilney head of natural resources; Iris Chan head of construction; Sui Jin Wong deputy head of construction; and Steve Hutchinson head of corporate risk and broking for Hong Kong and Macau.
In a news release on Monday, Willis said the appointments support its continued growth and expansion of regional specialty businesses.
Tilney will lead Willis’ Asia natural resources business, with a focus on strengthening its role as a specialty broker and risk adviser supporting the global energy transition. Chan will continue overseeing the construction business in Hong Kong and Macau, working with Wong to expand the practice across the region.
As Chan moves into her broader regional role, Hutchinson will take on leadership of corporate risk and broking in Hong Kong and Macau, in addition to his current role as head of property and casualty in the two markets. In the expanded position, Hutchinson will oversee all aspects of the business locally, leading teams of risk advisers and brokers and collaborating with regional specialty units to deliver risk resilience solutions to clients.
Luke Ware, head of Asia at WTW, said in a statement that the leadership changes represent an important step in advancing the company’s long-term strategy in the region.
“By deepening our specialty expertise and expanding our leadership bench, we are better positioned to deliver more innovative, client-focused solutions and prepare our clients for a changing tomorrow,” Ware said.
