Autonomous driving technology firm Pony.ai has announced its expansion into Singapore to deploy self-driving vehicles locally. The move continues its collaboration with multi-modal transport partner ComfortDelGro.

According to a joint statement, the autonomous mobility services rollout will begin in the Punggol region and is expected to launch within the next few months.

The collaboration between Pony.ai and ComfortDelGro builds on a partnership that began in July 2024, followed by a pilot program in Guangzhou, China, which launched in March 2025 and served as a testing ground for broader deployment

The new initiative supports Singapore’s broader strategy to enhance its transportation network with autonomous solutions, particularly during off-peak hours when driver shortages have limited service availability.
