Your Team, Your Impact

The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic development team and responsible for all aspects of engineering design and productization.

What You Can Expect

  • Responsible for design of integrated photonic components

  • Design mask layout

  • Testing and characterization of the resulting components

  • Qualification of the components/integrated circuits, and transferring to the production team.

  • Use of optical and electronic modeling and simulation software to design electro-optical devices, and generate GDS level mask data for device fabrication.

  • Responsibilities may change from time to time depending on the priority of the team and company

What We're Looking For

  • Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Photonics or a related discipline with emphasis in high-speed optical components or equivalently. Industrial experience is desirable. Fresh Ph.D. graduates are welcome to apply.

  • Strong understanding of silicon photonics, semiconductor physics, optical component design, fabrication and test.

  • Proven record in at least one of the following areas: semiconductor optical devices such as high-speed detectors, modulators and other integrated waveguide devices.

  • Familiarity or direct experience in the standard Si/CMOS/MEMS process technologies required for fabrication and integration of electrical and optical devices.

  • Direct experience in device characterization and testing as required in the development environment. High speed testing background is preferred.

  • Ability to work with a large body of data and the necessary statistical analysis tools, and the ability to present the data and ideas to a diverse audience.

  • Effective communication and presentation

  • Team player and hands-on- expected to work closely with other optical and foundry engineers.

  • Self-starter and action-oriented
