Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Securities Algorithmic Trader who will be responsible for designing, monitoring, and managing electronic trading algorithms for electronic trades. This role will serve as a subject matter expert on electronic trading algorithms to clients and internal partners.

$159,000.00 - $305,000.00

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Securities Algorithmic Trader who will be responsible for designing, monitoring, and managing electronic trading algorithms for electronic trades. This role will serve as a subject matter expert on electronic trading algorithms to clients and internal partners.
In this role, you will:
- Lead complex initiatives to resolve algorithmic trading using high-frequency trading technology with broad impact
- Act as key participant in developing, implementing, and monitoring risk based programs to recommend decisions to buy or sell financial securities on an exchange for Securities Algorithmic Trading
- Review and analyze complex formulas, combined with mathematical models and human oversight that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including the use of process and rules based algorithms to employ strategies for executing trades
- Make decisions in complex and multi-faceted situations requiring understanding of the function, policies, procedures and compliance requirements that influence and lead broader work team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and mid-level to more experienced managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
- 5+ years of Securities Algorithmic Trading experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Strong academic background in an analytical field such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, Quantitative Finance, etc.
- Strong statistical background.
- Proven ability to analyze large datasets, build models, and draw commercial conclusions.
- Ability to develop and deliver production code. Familiarity with Java and Python strongly preferred, but alternative languages are acceptable.
- Ability to communicate and work collaboratively with traders and other groups in the firm.
- Experience designing and building systematic/algorithmic trading systems, particularly market-making systems in the fixed income space.
- Familiarity with fixed-income markets.
- Experience building machine-learning models.
- Experience collaborating on a large-scale, enterprise codebase.
- Experience working with large-scale datasets in in Python
- Experience with Unix and basic shell scripting
- Demonstrated familiarity developing a safe environment using controls, testing, and resiliency, particularly around electronic trading.
- Registration for FINRA Series 63 (or 66) must be completed within 180 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
- Registration for FINRA Series 79 must be completed within 180 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
Registration for FINRA Series 7 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted. - Ability to travel as needed

- This position is subject to FINRA Background Screening Requirements, including successful completion and clearing of a background check. Internal transfers are subject to comply with 17 CFR 240.17f-2 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and FINRA Bylaws, Article III, Section 3, which states that Associated Persons should not be subject to statutory disqualification. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and are required to report certain incidents.
