The role involves assessing investments, managing funds, analyzing financial data, and collaborating with stakeholders to drive investment processes and strategies.
Under the Data Centre Business Unit, the Associate Director, Investment & Fund Management shall take ownership and responsibility of the following:
Investment
- Assess and conduct due diligence on new transactions, driving new deals through the end-to-end investment process (working alongside local country teams as required)
- Investment management for assigned assets (incl. annual business plans, board governance, capital call requests etc)
- Collaborate on transactions and operating partnerships with country teams together with strategic operating partners.
- Build relationships with country teams, as well as external advisors and industry experts
- Gather and synthesize industry and market data
- Provide extensive analysis on potential investments, including in-depth financial modelling / auditing analyst models
- Draft and present written materials to Investment committee and management
- Assist in relationships with new capital partners
Fund Management
- Monitor performance of Fund/Mandate investments ensuring alignment with strategic goals
- Support capital allocation decisions by assessing risk-adjusted returns across portfolio and asset opportunities.
- Support new fund/partnerships formation
- Support the fund management function (cash flow, cap calls, reporting)
- Assist in developing the DC platform with market research and strategy development
- Take ownership of financial asset models where required.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Attributes
- 5-8 years of professional experience, preferably in a leading investment bank, infrastructure fund manager or data centre operator.
- Direct experience of real estate and infrastructure transaction process.
- Strong understanding of fundamental business analysis
- Superior analytical and financial modelling skills
- Exceptional written, interpersonal, and communication skills with attention to detail
- Team player with a maturity that enables the candidate to contribute to a collaborative and collegiate team environment
- Self-starter and motivated with the ability to multi-task, prioritise, and work both independently and within teams.
- Unquestioned integrity, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to teamwork and performance
- A degree in finance, accounting, real estate, or a related field. Professional qualifications like CFA may also be beneficial.
